Case Study

Making Complex Things Simple

Why use multiple systems to make your online auctions happen? As the team at Pax Romana discovered, our BidJS platform does it all.

Pax Romana is an acclaimed Antiquities Auction House, specialising in all aspects of collecting and appreciating ancient art including coins, weaponry, and jewellery.

Founded by Dr. Ivan Bonchev in 2010, the company is internationally recognised with a strong reputation in the world of antiquities and clients in over 70 countries. Alongside their main gallery, perfectly located right opposite the British Museum, they also hold regular online auctions.

Pax Romana had long been using a variety of other platforms to sell their goods which meant things were getting rather complicated. What they really needed was a reliable, secure, online auction system which would allow them to be in complete control of their clients’ journey. They also wanted to simplify the auction process, whilst maximising marketing and communication opportunities

Making online auctions easy

Bidlogix were able to tick all these boxes for them. We take pride in building sustainable relationships with our customers alongside meeting their business needs, so we were delighted to provide an embedded webcast auction solution, without a complicated and lengthy setup. With full training given by our experts and a rapid install, Pax Romana were able to hold their first online auction using BidJS within a matter of days.

BidJS is convenient and intuitive. It's designed to offer a seamless experience on any type of website and comes complete with industry-leading features, including real-time Timed and Webcast auction software, so users can bid on any device, without downloading an app or refreshing the page. This was something that really appealed to the team at Pax Romana, as other platforms were not able to provide this.

Using Bidlogix’s online auction system has allowed us to finally move over to our own auction platform whilst simplifying the process for both us and our clients as the auction can be listed, held and reconciled on our own website. The system was easy to set up, with step by step guidance in video calls and an extremely responsive customer support team.

Driving new business opportunities

Enhancing their client relationships had also been identified as a key priority by Pax Romana and, as Bidlogix Online Auction software integrates with WordPress and Google Analytics, the team can now look to grow their customer database – a function that's not possible on generic auctioneering platforms. In addition, they can easily analyse the number, location, and source of visits to their site, helping them hone their marketing strategy. Our custom branding capability ensures the Pax Romana brand is consistent throughout the user journey too, from the expertly curated catalogues to the relevant online auction.

This extends even as far as invoicing. Using high-end security measures, commonly found in online banking solutions, our system offers advanced auction invoicing software. So, Pax Romana can create and send invoices quickly and track and tag incoming payments. Using our reporting dashboard also means they can keep track of outstanding invoices.
